    Thank you Gary for reminding us about these important rules. The matter is so important that it's never enough repeating. Yes, the sleep remains a great challenge when you are in your mid 60s, it's not easy to sleep longer than 6 hours during the night. I help myself with a melatonine supplement. Cheers🙂

    Another one trying to re in vent the wheel. Forget that part rep nonsense. Just do 10 reps, slow positive, pause for a second and slow negative. 10th rep is absolute failure. Rest long enough for breathing to normalise. 3 sets per exercise. It works for everyone. This isn't rocket science just my 42 years experience talking.

    I am 61 years old and have been working out most of my life. I am at the point where I want to get the most bang for my buck in my workout at home in my mancave with an adjustable bench and a wide range of dumbbells. I have been following a similar routine except I was doing the seated DB shoulder presses. The point about the incline DB incline bench already hitting the front deltoid makes sense and I am going to switch to the side lateral DB shoulder raises as you recommend. Same with the DB row. I was working both arms at once. I think the one arm while supporting your upper body allows better form and heavy, more controlled weight. Thanks for the great video! BTW, besides stretching at the end of my workouts, I do 3 sets of bicycle twisting crunches with a 30 second rest in between.

    Good information Gary. Much appreciated. I have a question for you, I’m 68 years old and in good health and I’m really trying to get super fit. I have been an athlete often on my whole life. I’ve been faithfully working out for the last 12 months. I’m working out at the gym three days a week, tracking all of my weights and exercises and continually moving up on weights. I have lost 30 pounds of fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle and I still have 25 pounds to go to be at my ideal weight. Is there any supplements that I should should be taking? My medical doctor says no, but I don’t necessarily agree with everything he tells me.

    It's harder than it looks. Hahahaha. I'm 63 and have let myself go. 30 years ago, I could do 100 pushups in under two minutes. Now I find myself cheating (not going down all the way) and I quit on the declined ones - a broken nose would do nobody any good today. Hahaha. Will go at it again tomorrow though!
